Canadian Creative Works
The Humanities, Arts, and Medicine (HAM) database is an online listing of Canadian works that land in the common ground between arts/humanities and health/medicine. Works can include published writings in categories including fiction, memoir, philosophy, and history, or visual artworks and performance recordings. The database contains titles and publication information about each item with brief glosses to explain genre and content.
Under the auspices of CAHH, this is the first such listing we know of that concentrates on content by Canadian authors or that has Canadian subject matter. The database was first created by Dr Monica Kidd at Memorial University and has since been curated by Dr Bernice Foneska at the University of Calgary. It is now being maintained by Graham McCaffrey at the University of Calgary Faculty of Nursing.
Suggestions for additions to the database will be reviewed for suitability before being posted. Please submit suggestions here.
